Skydiver Felix Baumgartner Wears a Stratos Flyback Watch and Free-Falls From The Edge Of Space

Skydiver Felix Baumgartner officially became the first person to successfully free fall from “the edge of space” by jumping out of a balloon 128,000 feet (24 miles into the atmosphere) above New Mexico. The journey back down to Earth lasted a little less than ten minutes. In addition to wearing only a space suit and relying on his parachute, Baumgartner wore his stock Zenith El Primero Stratos Flyback, exposing it to the harsh environment and the shock waves of a supersonic skydive. The beautiful timepiece has become a legendary “space” watch, joining the Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute and the Omega Speedmaster Professional.
