Jeremy Lin on the cover of GQ magazine

Jeremy who?

That’s right, Jeremy Lin… About a year ago, nobody knew who this Harvard kid was until he stole the spotlight and proved to the Knicks fans that he was more than just a bench-warmer from Harvard. However, you won’t be seeing him in a New York Knicks jersey this season; one of the worst decisions James Dolan (NY Knicks owner) made by letting go of a rising talent and a marketing behemoth…

As we gear up for the 2012-2013 NBA season, set to kick off on Tuesday, October 30th, GQ definitely didn’t want to pass up the opportunity of featuring “Linsanity” on the cover of their November issue. As the new guard for the Houston Rockets, this year Jeremy Lin will have the opportunity to play more minutes, stack up those stats and give the Knicks a reason to regret their decision.

This heavy duty briefcase is packed with a highly resistant structure, Tegris–a polypropylene thermoplastic composite (created by Milliken, a company that uses the material in protective gear for NFL players, NASCAR drivers, and military personnel), premium leather, chrome hardware, suede interior, and a hidden compartment for all your “secret” documents. You must be packing real heat if you can afford this US $6,000 briefcase, limited to only 28 pieces.

adidas is tackling a new market in their footwear department with the Jake Blauvelt Boot from their Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Jack Daniel’s Unaged Rye Whiskey

Jack Daniel’s Unaged Rye Whiskey, bottled at 80-proof combining 70%  rye, 18% corn, and 12% malt barley, is an absolute game changer. In 100 years, this would be the first new mash bill that Jack Daniel has introduced, surprising drinkers with a sweet and fruity smell with raspberry, plenty of rye bite, dried cherry, honey, and a crisp, dry finish. Call it white whiskey, moonshine, or white dog, but don’t dare call it ordinary. Available in Tennessee at select retail outlets in December, and arriving elsewhere early next year, in limited quantities. Enjoy responsibly.

James Bond – 007 – Aston Martin DB5

Introducing the Aston Martin DB5, appearing in the upcoming James Bond film, Skyfall. Just last week, James Bond celebrated its 50th year in action by auctioning off memorabilia at Christie’s in London. Some items included the Aston Martin DBS used in Quantum of Solance, swim trunks worn by Daniel Craig from Casino Royale, and a few items also worn by Mr. Craig from Skyfall such as the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean and a wool Tom Ford suit. We can assume that the Aston Martin DB5 will be auctioned off in the near future as well, but how much would it be? It’s no doubt that Aston Martin covers every inch of detail when designing and engineering their automobiles. The DB5 found its place in car enthusiast’s hearts when it debuted in 1964 and it is still one of the most iconic cars ever produced. If you are interested in the role of Aston Martin in some of the 007 films, check out their site here.
